สรุป  เนื้อหาสอบปลายภาค 1/2552 ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2

          The final exam consists of 3 sections, Section A has 40 multiple choice questions, Section B are short answer questions worth 20 marks and lastly Section C are essay questions or computations worth a total of 40 marks.

          English - The students need to understand all of chapters 1 to 9 in their novel, Matilda. They need to know how to write a dialogue, an essay (a personal recount) and fill in a newspaper front page (an information report), all related to the novel’s characters and situations.

          Mathematics - All students must read and understand all vocabulary written in the back of their notebook. The Final exam covers all Chapter 1: Rational numbers; Chapter 2: Rate, Ratio and Proportion; Chapter 3: Percentages; Chapter 13: Pie Charts and Chapter 5: Polygons. Students must master mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They also need to know how to find angles of polygons, how to name polygons according to their length of side, number of side or size of angle.

          Science - The scope of the exam was taken from chapter 1 to chapter 5. Majority of Section A covers the vocabulary list done by the students at the back of the notebook. Section B is divided into 3 parts – identifications with topics from all the different form of diseases discussed in the entire chapters, complete the sentence taken from previous quizzes and spelling which includes vocabulary from chapter 5. Section C consists of 3 essay questions each 100-200 words. Topic includes Chapter 1 Sensation, Chapter 3 Digestive Systems and Drug abuse.

          Social Studies - The concentration of the exam is on the first four chapters of the textbook.  Students should review the components of the human environment, population growth, settlement and agriculture. Emphasis is on types of agricultural land and settlement. They should know how to read a topographical map and name each grid square.
