

The final exam consists of 3 sections, Section A has 40 multiple choice questions, Section B are short answer questions worth 20 marks and lastly Section C are essay questions or computations worth a total of 40 marks.
English – For the Grade 7 English exam, students must review three things. The first is the vocabulary that we have studied this year. Students should review all vocabulary, which they can find at the backs of their notebooks. The second is the novel, “Of Mice and Men”. Students should understand the characters and plot from the first 6 chapters (pg. 1-20). They can use their notebooks, comic books, and quizzes to help them. The third thing is the My Pals textbook and workbook. Students should understand the concepts we have learned in chapters 1 and 2; for example, proverbs, taking a message, character sketches, personal recounts, and describing things. Students should also review reading passages to ensure their understanding of them.
Mathematics - The students should focus on the following topics:
Chapter 1: Whole numbers,
Chapter 2: Integers,
Chapter 4: Factors and Multiples,
Chapter 9: Lines and Angles,

Chapters 1, 2, 4 and 9 are in Mastery Workbook Mattayom1, and an indices is in the Notebook.
Science - For the Semester 1 examination the students will need to know the following:
• Lab equipment (names and uses)
• Animal cells and plant cells
• Microscope (names of parts and how to use)
• Cells, tissues, organs, systems and organisms
• Diffusion and osmosis
• Photosynthesis
• Parts of a flower (names and functions)
Social Studies - The examination is based on chapters 1, 2 and 3. In these chapters the students need to learn all the vocabulary words and facts, explain what history is, describe why history is important, tell the difference between primary and secondary sources and explain the language historians use when referring to time.
The students also need to understand what civilisation, kingdom and empire mean, the reasons for the rise of civilisations, kingdoms and empires and the features of early civilisations in ancient India, China and Southeast Asia. The examination covers pages 4 – 47 of “The Living Past Textbook”.
